Our Mission and Core Values

We, the members of LWCC under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, set forth and established the mission of this body:

  • TO WORSHIP GOD as a living, united fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ. (Luke 4:8; John 4:24)
  • TO PROCLAIM GOD’S WORD in West Columbia and throughout the world, that people my find forgiveness and salvation only throughout the world, that people may find forgiveness and salvation only through Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. (Luke 24:46-48; John 3:16)
  • TO EQUIP the members to become Great Commission disciples and grow in faith toward spiritual maturity according to the teachings of Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 4:12; 1 John 2:3-6)
  • TO MINISTER unselfishly to the needs of out church family, the people of West Columbia, and the Nations of the World.
  • TO LOVE GOD and TO LOVE OTHERS to demonstrate God’s love to the world by giving back to the community and helping those in need. (Mark 12:30-31)

We, the members of LWCC under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, set forth and establishes that core values of this body:

  • WILL NOT negotiate the Word of God. We believe God’s word is infallible, true, reliable, and live. (John 17:17; Psalm 33: 4; Hebrews 4:12)
  • WILL NOT suffocate the Holy Spirit. We believe the Holy Spirit empowers us, guides us in the way of the truth, reminds us of our God’s word, and convicts us of our wrong doing. (Galatians 5:22-23; John 16:13; John 14:26; John 16:8)
